Diet for pitbull dogs

Recommended daily amount: 1.5 to 2.5 cups of high-quality dry food per day, divided into two meals. Note: How much your adult dog eats will depend on his size, age, build, and activity level.

Dogs are individuals, just like people, and they don't all need the same amount of food. The quality of the dog food you buy also makes a difference - the better the dog's food, the more nutritious food for your dog and reduce the quantities.

To prevent obesity, measure your dog's food, and serve your meals at specific times each day, rather than quitting food all the time. It should be at the waist when you look at it, and you should be able to feel its ribs underneath a layer of muscle, but not see it. If the ribs are buried under rolls of fat, your dog needs to go on a diet.

Pitbull dog with children and other pets:

American Pitbull loves children. It is strong, energetic, and forgiving, and is also an ideal companion. However, a dog of any size or breed should never be left unsupervised with children. When there is no adult present to supervise what is going on, dogs have to be divided or bonded, especially after they reach sexual maturity. Do not allow children to pull out a dog's ears or tail.

Teach them not to approach any dog while he is sleeping, eating, or trying to take the dog's food away. Some American Pitbulls retain the tendency to be aggressive with other dogs, but if they are socialized early and trained to know the behavior expected of them, this aggression can be reduced or overcome, and many are friendly to dogs and cats. Just to be safe, you should always be supervised in the presence of other pets.
